'Irisk Luck' grows quickly to form an upright vase-shaped clump. Due to its H. plantaginea parentage, it exhibits some sun tolerance and produces sweetly fragrant, lavender flowers well above the foliage in late summer. What makes it so distinct is the incredibly shiny finish on the leaves, like a glossy lacquer painted on each leaf. The leaves are very dark green with pie crust rippled margin, deep veining, and good substance.
