Weigela Peach Kisses™ offers three seasons of interest, beginning with showy peachy pink flowers from late spring and continuing through early fall. Borne in clusters on gracefully arching branches with healthy green foliage, the bright, tubular, nectar-rich flowers sustain bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. A freely branching woody ornamental shrub, 'Peach Kisses' has a dense, compact habit and rapid growth rate. It is an excellent specimen in the garden or container but it looks best when grouped or massed in beds, borders, and landscapes. It's a natural for pollinator gardens.
Weigela are fast growing, easy care shrubs that are adaptable to a range of soil conditions. They are happiest in average well drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate very light shade. They are also somewhat tolerant of clay soil. They should be pruned after flowering to shape them. The shrub benefits from a rejuvenation pruning every few years. To do this, cut the oldest, biggest stems down to ground level in late winter. Never remove more than one third of the shrub in any year.
