Weigala 'Dark Horse' has dark bronze foliage with lime green venation.  Combined with purplish pink tubular flowers this plant make a dramatic statement in the landscape. The neat, compact habit is easy to maintain. It works well as an accent plant in a shrub order or integrated into a mixed border.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Weigela are fast growing, easy care shrubs that are adaptable to a range of soil conditions. They are happiest in average well drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate very light shade. They are  also somewhat tolerant of clay soil. They should be pruned after flowering to shape them
