The huge flower clusters are made up of lavender-blue double florets and cover the plant in spring several weeks earlier than the common Lilac. 'Double Blue' has good resistance to mildew and is long lived and easy to grow.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Lilacs are generally very easy care shrubs. Plant them in full sun in moist, well drained soil. Lilacs do not like wet sites especially in the winter. Pruning should be done after spring bloom. Pruning will keep the shrub dense and well shaped and increase the amount of flowers. This lilac is mildew resistant.
