'Beauty of Moscow' is a very fragrant, double-flowered cultivar that was first developed by a Russian hybridizer in 1943. It is particularly noted for its spring show of double white florets with a pink blush that emerge from pale pink buds to form showy, large two-toned flower panicles. "Krasavitsa Moskvy’ translates into the English trade name of 'Beauty of Moscow'. The foliage is generally resistant to powdery mildew.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Lilacs are generally very easy care shrubs. Plant them in full sun in moist, well drained soil. Lilacs do not like wet sites especially in the winter. Pruning should be done after spring bloom. Pruning will keep the shrub dense and well shaped and increase the amount of flowers. Remove suckers from around the base of the shrub unless you wish to use it for hedging.
