Hydrangea 'Invincible Ruby' is the first red arborescens variety. The large flowers open a deep burgundy colour then age to silvery pink with darker edges. The foliage is very dark and the stems are strong, making this an excellent landscape plant. It is a strong rebloomer providing a very long season of colour in the garden.
Hydrangea 'Invincible Ruby' is a low maintenance shrub for full sun to light shade. It grows best in rich, well drained soil with constant moisture. The bloom occurs on new wood so the plant can be cut back hard in the spring or just pruned to shape and remove winter damage. 'Invincible Ruby' is repeat blooming so spent flowers can be removed if desired to keep the plant looking attractive all season.
