Dogwood

With attractive chartreuse leaves, Neon Burst Dogwood is both sun and heat tolerant and retains its bright leaf colour throughout summer. The new leaves are tinged with bronze, and the stems have a rich red hue early in the season. The fall foliage becomes a rainbow of purple, red, yellow, and orange. In winter the stems turn glossy scarlet red. The nice, mounded habit and unique bright leaves of Neon Burst make it a fantastic showpiece in the landscape.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Dogwoods are tolerant of most soil and light conditions, and they're one of the few shrubs that thrive in boggy conditions. The best colour is on new stems, so a systematic routine of removing a few of the oldest stems each year is recommended. If the shrub spreads too much, use a spade to trim the roots around the base of the plant and remove unwanted plants.
