Lavender 'Munstead' has rich, fragrant lavender flower spikes all summer long. Its compact habit and relatively short stature makes this selection a good choice for edging. This has been the hardiest lavender in our garden.
Lavender will thrive in the hottest, driest site in the garden. Poor gravelly soil that is very well drained will produce the best results. Trim the plant to shape it in the spring after new growth has begun. Evergreen boughs over the plant after freeze up will trap snow and help with winter survival.
