Siberian Iris

The dusty lavender flowers of 'Purring Tiger' sit above golden yellow petals. The golden yellow petals are lined with purple veining that matches the heart of the flower. 'Purring Tiger' is compact for Siberian Iris, standing about 45 cms tall.  Siberian irises are haled for their elegant, delicate flowers and disease resistance. They perform admirably in the sunny to partially shady garden, but need plenty of water throughout the season to continue looking their best

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Siberian Iris are the most trouble free of the Iris species. Grow them in full sun in rich soil that is moderately acidic. Working some peat moss in the soil will help to make the soil more acid and moisture retentive. They will take a couple of years to establish and then can be left until flowering is not as profuse. Divide in August when necessary.
