‘Caesar’s Brother’ is one of the oldest and but still one of the best Siberians on the market. It is a deep purple self with a yellow and white blaze with black veining. It blooms profusely in early summer. The tall foliage remains beautiful until frost.
Siberian Iris are the most trouble free of the Iris species. Grow them in full sun in rich soil that is moderately acidic. Working some peat moss in the soil will help to make the soil more acid and moisture retentive. They will take a couple of years to establish and then can be left until flowering is not as profuse. Divide in August when necessary.
