Iris pallida aureovariegata has been a favourite in our sunny garden for many years. We would grow it for the golden striped foliage even if it never bloomed. It does produce fragrant lavender blooms the same time as the peonies and Baptisia bloom. Unlike many bearded Iris, the foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season.

- Spread: 30-45 cm (12-18 in)
- Cold Hardiness: Zone 3-9
- Sun or Shade: minimum four hours of direct sun
- Bloom Time: late spring
- Leaf Colour: green and yellow variegated
- Bloom Colour: lavender
- Critter Resistance: deer
Bloomfest Garden Art Show
Mark your calendar for July 20-28. We will be open every day during that time. Our Bloomfest Garden Show is happening and our daylily field will be in full bloom. This year we will be displaying the work of 23 artists throughout the gardens and daylily field. It is easy to visualize how a piece of art might look in your own garden when you see it in displayed in a garden here.
