Helleborus 'First Dance' is part of the "Wedding Party" series bred for their vigour, showy floral displays with large numbers of blossoms per plant, and rich flower colours. 'First Dance' bears large, double flowers that range from bright yellow to soft yellow with a maroon picotee edge and veining.
Despite their reputation of being hard to grow, Hellebores are not fussy plants. Give them rich, moist organic soil and shade from hot afternoon sun during the summer. They can even tolerate short periods of drought. Hellebores are evergreen so, after the plants are actively growing, trim back any foliage that has been damaged in the winter. Hellebores are poisonous so do not consume any part of the plant.
