Growing and Maintenance Tips

Geum is easy to grow and underused in today's gardens.  It adapts well to both hot summers and cold winters without complaint.  It prefers moist soil with good drainage.  Protection from hot afternoon sun will improve the look and health of the foliage.  Geum should be divided frequently; young or newly divided plants bloom longer and stronger than older ones. Deadheading will promote a longer flowering time and rebloom.
