The Spintop series of Gaillardia are compact, and early flowering delivering an abundance of bloom throughout the summer. 'Starburst Red' has large blossoms of apricot yellow with a bright red center creating a two toned effect. Borne in clusters atop hairy stems, the nectar-rich flowers are a pollinator favorite, attracting tons of bees and butterflies.  And birds, especially goldfinches, adore the seed heads. The flowers make nice cuts for fresh and dried arrangements. Group them for a bright blast of colour in the border or use them in containers.
