For anyone looking for a large garden perennial, Filipendula camtschatica is a great choice. This tall summer flowering perennial is native to Japan and China. It has long serrated leaves and bears fragrant white flowers that are very attractive to honey bees and butterflies. It is rarely offered for sale.

Growing and Maintenance Tips
Filipendula camtschatica is adaptable to a wide range of soil types including clay. It does need lots of moisture to grow well because its native habits is wet meadows and edges of streams. In our garden it grows best in the summers where there is good rainfall.

Bloomfest Garden Art Show
