Coneflower

Echinacea 'Supreme Cantaloupe' is absolutely the color of a ripe cantaloupe! Young flowers look like a brown eyed, double Gerbera and are excellent as a cut flower. As the flowers expand, they take on a more “Echinacea-like” look and last and last and last. There is no other Echinacea this colour  on the market.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Coneflowers are the ideal perennial for hot sunny sites. Plant them in shade and they will flop and produce very few flowers. Loamy, well drained soil in a slightly elevated bed is ideal to produce the best bloom and winter hardiness. Heavy soils can lead to winter rot. Leave the seed heads to stand for winter food for finches and other birds.
