Sombrero has introduced a new compact series of Echinaceas featuring the same exceptional winter hardiness, excellent branching and proven landscape performance. The plants in this series are sturdy and compact with more colourfast flowers that last for weeks. This well-matched series of five colors all reach a maximum height of 40 cms and has all the great attributes of the original Echinacea Sombrero name but in a smaller package

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Coneflowers are the ideal perennial for hot sunny sites. Plant them in shade and they will flop and produce very few flowers. Loamy, well drained soil in a slightly elevated bed is ideal to produce the best bloom and winter hardiness. Heavy soils can lead to winter rot. Leave the seed heads to stand for winter food for finches and other birds.
