Coneflower

Rainbow Sherbet' is a  introduction from the DOUBLE DIPPED™ series. It has pompom flowers with wide, overlapping ray petals. The flowers open orange before transitioning to a coral pink with matching ray petals. The colour shift gives the impression of two different flower colors on the plant at once. Each variety in the DOUBLE DIPPED™ series has a substantial presence in the landscape. perfect for the middle of the border. It has strong, well-branched stems that support the large, numerous heavy flowers with ease.

Growing and Maintenance Tips

Coneflowers are the ideal perennial for hot sunny sites. Plant them in shade and they will flop and produce very few flowers. Loamy, well drained soil in a slightly elevated bed is ideal to produce the best bloom and winter hardiness. Heavy soils can lead to winter rot. Leave the seed heads to stand for winter food for finches and other birds.
