Astilbe 'Vision in White' has large, creamy white triangular plumes above robust, glossy green leaves. It handles warmer and drier summer conditions better than many of the other varieties do.
To grow Astilbes well pay attention to their need for water. Do not let the soil dry out because the leaves will go crispy and drop off. Rich soil in partial shade is the best situation. In sun it will be hard to keep them moist enough and, in too much shade, they will not bloom well. Leave old foliage on until the spring to protect the crowns of the plant.
