About This Grass
Schizachyrium 'Chameleon' is an amazing selection of little bluestem that comes from French Nurseryman, Thierry Delabroye. He discovered it as a seedling of Schizachyrium scoparium 'The Blues'. The glaucous foliage is edged with a standout creamy border, making it one of the few native ornamental grasses with variegated foliage. As the weather cools, the foliage also takes on a reddish pink overlay. This is a very ecciting addition to the native grass lineup.
