Daylily 'Raspberry Suede' is aptly named because the unusually smooth, velvety texture of this daylily is very much like suede. The large flowers are a unique shade of rich raspberry red like raspberry syrup and they are quite sunfast for such a dark color. They display a pie crust edge, diamond dusted petals, and small chartreuse throat. Two or three way branched scapes carry 20 or more buds apiece in midseason. This variety is a good grower in the landscape and forms a large clump of long, arching, rich green leaves.
